Zoe Birkett joins the cast of Sleeping Beauty at Bromley’s Churchill Theatre later this year. Star of Thriller Live in the West End, and also in Thriller Live in Brazil, Zoe is a Pop Idol finalist and one of this year’s Big Brother housemates. Zoe will play Carabosse the bad fairy in Sleeping Beauty, joining Marc Baylis from ITV’s Coronation Street. The Corrie killer will take on the role of The Prince, while 80s pop icon Sonia will play the good fairy.
A face the children will know well is that of Jamie Rickers who is playing Silly Billy. Jamie is popular on CiTV and Nickelodeon, with hosting Toonattik and Jamie and Anna’s U-Pick Summer.
Taking on the role of Nurse Glucose is legend of radio, screen and stage, Bobby Crush. Bobby originally became popular after six winning appearances on Opportunity Knocks in the 1970s. Since that time, he has had numerous stage roles and his own TV show.
The part of Sleeping Beauty will be played by musical theatre star Sophia Thierens.
