The Waiting Room was performed in the intimate space of The Lounge, a smaller venue for up and coming new writing, intimate productions and cabaret-esque performances within the The Leicester Square Theatre. It ran over two nights in January, I went along to the second night of the production. The auditorium was full of eagerly waiting spectators, packed closely together, the venue looked like it had sold out. The production is short at around 40 minutes and takes place in a nondescript … [Read more...]
Review of Terry Jones’ NICOBOBINUS at Lost Theatre
I was fortunate enough to attend the world premier production of Terry Jones' Nicobbobinus at the Lost Theatre yesterday. For those of you who have never been to the Lost Theatre, it is a lovely family inspired venue located between Vauxhall and Stockwell Stations. As well as theatre productions, they also boast dance classes and youth theatre for local kids. The venue, like Dr Who's Tardis, is much bigger on the inside! The staff are warm and friendly, the bar was decorated with Christmassy … [Read more...]
Review of MYTHS at the Blue Elephant Theatre

I also learnt that as a resident of The London Borough of Southwark I am entitled to discounted theatre tickets and occasionally can apply for free tickets. Now on to … [Read more...]
Review of GUILT and SHAME: GOING STRAIGHT
On Friday evening at 10.15pm, sans alcohol, I went to see Guilt & Shame's new offering, Guilt & Shame: Going Straight, at Soho Upstairs. I haven't laughed so hard and so loud in a long time, even without the lubrication of a few beers this show is pure genius! Guilt & Shame: Going Straight is hugely … [Read more...]

Review of Shakespeare’s ROMEO AND JULIET in Temple Church
Going to review Romeo and Juliet is not an easy thing for me; I’ve seen a lot of productions of Shakespeare’s tragedy about the two star crossed lovers, I have studied the play and like most of us I’ve watched Baz Luhrmann’s filmic adaptation. For me, I was curious as to what new things could be done with this play, how Antic Disposition would take the script and bring it to life on stage and how they would dramatize this epic story “ For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and … [Read more...]
