Funny Girl starring Sheridan Smith extends booking for West End run

The Menier production of Funny Girl starring Sheridan Smith has extended booking for its upcoming West End run at the Savoy Theatre. Funny Girl is currently playing at the Menier Chocolate Factory until 5th March 2016, and following its sold-out run there, is set to transfer to the West End with performances beginning at the Savoy Theatre from 9th April 2016, and an official opening night on 20th April 2016. John Owen-Jones returns to Broadway for final run of Les Miserables

The Broadway production of Les Miserables has announced it will end its current run at the Imperial Theatre in September 2016, with John Owen-Jones set to return as Jean Valjean for the final performances from March onwards. The current Broadway revival, which is the only production playing in North America, is set to close its doors for good on 4th September 2016 after 1,026 performances at the Imperial Theatre. New musical Beyond The Fence premieres at the Arts Theatre in February 2016, but the twist to this show is that it has been conceived and crafted by a computer. Further casting has been announced for the Tony Award-nominated Motown The Musical, which makes its West End debut in February 2016. The West End production is set to begin previews at the Shaftesbury Theatre from 11th February 2016, with a press night on 8th March 2016, and is currently booking until 22nd October 2016.
