Dominic Ferris and Martin Milnes debut in the West End with their production Ferris & Milnes - Christmas Cracker. They bill it as a theatrical extravaganza and I am pleased to say they deliver on this. Milnes has, what can only be described as, a phenomenal vocal range. The Tony award-winning musical The Secret Garden, based on the 1911 novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett with script and lyrics by Pulitzer prize and Tony award-winner Marsha Norman and music by Grammy award-winner Lucy Simon, is coming back to the West End for a summer season. I personally prefer shows that pay homage to stars rather than the Jukebox Musicals. You know what you get rather than some thin storyline weaved with famous songs. And Be Bop a Lula! proved it once again for me.
