Dan and Laura Curtis, famed for their work with Broadway and West End London Theatre artists (Ramin Karimloo, Sierra Boggess, Laura Osnes, Lea Salonga, Cheyenne Jackson) have just completed an unofficial short musical concept of Disney’s Ratatouille, and have published a storyboard style video to show how the songs would go with the scenes.
It has been recorded with a full orchestra and a large number of up and coming musical theatre artists, many of whom already have West End credits.
Daniel and Laura have always had a passion for the musical works of Disney and were keen to show what their creative vision would have been, had they been given the task of writing music for Disney. This is also an avenue they are really hoping to pursue in the future.
The concept is strictly unofficial and has been done in accordance with the Fair Use exception of U.S Copyright law. It is also a little fun gift to their fans, who have been asking them to do something like this for quite a while now as many of them are Disney fans.
Daniel and Laura Curtis are award winning composers, producers and record label owners. Daniel and Laura’s most recent album ‘Love on 42nd Street’ topped the UK and US iTunes vocal and Amazon Broadway charts. The album included theatre legends, Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Mulan and Aladdin), Ramin Karimloo (Les Miserables, Phantom, Love Never Dies), Sierra Boggess (Phantom, Love Never Dies), John Owen-Jones (Phantom, Les Miserables), Simon Bowman (Miss Saigon) and Samantha Barks (Les Miserables) receiving international acclaim. Recent single releases with Laura Osnes (Cinderella) and Cheyenne Jackson (Glee, 30 Rock) both topped the iTunes vocal chart.
