Fiona Evans’ acclaimed play Scarborough is set to run at the Cockpit Theatre in London for two performances only December, 2015.
Presented by Fictive Theatre in collaboration with Artistic Producciones and the Mexican Theatre Company La Compañia Perpetua, Scarborough comes to the Cockpit Theatre on Saturday 5th December and Sunday 6th December 2015 at 3pm. The performances follow the successful showcase of the play at the Courtyard Theatre earlier this year.
SCARBOROUGH follows a 15 year-old boy on a romantic weekend away with his (nearly) 30 year-old female teacher at a bed and breakfast in Scarborough. After the interval, the script is repeated word-for-word except for one difference: the genders have swapped.
An engaging play which presents the affair from a neutral point of view, the production won a Fringe First Award at the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was well received when it premiered in London at the Courtyard Theatre in October, gaining a 4* review from London Theatre 1:

The intimate performance is set on a bed, in the round, and stars Ava Pickett and Charlie Tantam in the dual roles of Lauren/Beth and Daz/Aiden. It is directed by Simon Paris and has set and costume design by Magdalena Iwanska, and lighting design by Guido Lueches. Poster design is by Amy Laker

Artistic Producciones LTD and La Compañia Perpetua, which are about to present the UK premiere of FAUSTAFF at the Cockpit Theatre from 18th November to 6th December, are supporting this emerging theatre company with the aim of promote young talent.
