Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre announces season of five productions for 2014. Opening the season on 15th May until 7th June, Artistic Director Timothy Sheader will direct Arthur Miller’s 20th Century classic play All My Sons. Harold Brighouse’s Hobson’s Choice will then run from 12th June to 12th July, directed by Nadia Fall, beside a production of Twelfth Night re-imagined for everybody aged six and over. This production of Shakespeare’s comedy for younger audiences will be directed by Max Webster and will also be supported by in-school workshops prepared by the Young Shakespeare Company for years 3-6.
Famous as a landmark piece of American theatre, the Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess plays from 17th July to 23rd August, directed by Timothy Sheader, with a book adapted by Suzan-Lori Parks and a musical score adapted by Diedre L. Murray.
The 2013 critically acclaimed sold-out production of Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird adapted by Christopher Sergel will then come back to the venue completing the 2014 season 28th August to 13th September prior to a UK Tour.
Tickets for To Kill a Mockingbird are on sale now, whilst tickets for All My Sons, Hobson’s Choice, Twelfth Night re-imagined and Porgy and Bess will go on sale in early December for Priority Booking. 2014 Memberships are now on sale.
