Classical Concert Chamber Orchestra is a California-based virtuoso ensemble with flexible instrument formation, consisting of 28 world-class musicians. The orchestra adapts to perform many celebrated works of the 17th and 18th centuries. The chamber orchestra works under the original baroque configuration, without a conductor, and is led by the founder, Music Director and soloist, Ashot Tigranyan.
Maestro Tigranyan is a renowned concert violinist, who graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory, where he studied with the legendary Russian violinist Leonid Kogan. He has performed extensively throughout Russia, Europe, and the United States and founded CCCO in 2006, to add to his solo career.
Adhering to a style typical of the traditional Russian School, CCCO combines a warm and vibrant sound and the richness of tonal colour for which it is recognised. Maestro Tigranyan has crafted the sound of the orchestra reminiscent of operatic vocals, never failing to elicit standing ovations.
