An interesting six classes over the course of six weeks ending with a staged reading exploring Pinter’s lesser known (and often uncomprehended) work – and its relationship to the man himself.
This is likely to be of interest for anyone active in theatre with an interest in great British writing.
Each weekly class will look closely at well-known and lesser known text in terms of theme, style and significance – with particular emphasis on understanding the real life events Pinter drew on in his work. There will be an opportunity for regular attendees to take part in a staged reading at the end of the course.
Led by the highly knowledgeable and fanatically enthusiastic David Erdos, Exploring Harold Pinter is the first of a series of four six-week courses looking beneath the surface of seminal work by Pinter, Heathcote Williams; Snoo Wilson, Edward Bond and E.L. Doctorow.
It’s a textual analysis class – but not as you know it. For those who would like to better understand our unique modern theatre writing history
Based on David Erdos’ 20-year experience as Actor, Writer, Director, Teacher and Dramaturge, the series aims to create an evolving company of practitioners and experts who will use the ideas and approaches of these sessions as a way of enhancing their own practise.
Every Wednesday for 6 weeks from January 15th 2014
