Touring company New Perspectives is celebrating its 40th anniversary by staging David Rudkin’s The Lovesong of Alfred J Hitchcock at the 10th Brits Off Broadway Festival in New York, together with a London transfer of its production of The Boss of It All.
The Lovesong of Alfred J Hitchcock will run from 1st May to 25th May at 59E59 Theaters in New York, having toured the show for three months in the UK.
The Boss of It All, written by the company’s artistic director, Jack McNamara, and adapted from the Lars Von Trier film, will open at the Soho Theatre on 2nd July 2014, running until 27th July 2014.
Steve Marmion, artistic director of Soho Theatre, said: “The Boss of It All is a sharp, funny piece of work, looking at leadership, responsibility and the urge to be liked (or at least not hated). Jack and I worked together years ago and I am delighted to see the success he is having with New Perspectives – bold, theatrical and entertaining work. We are really looking forward to having the company here at Soho.”
