Richard Schiff and Nigel Lindsay are joining the cast alongside Lindsay Lohan in the forthcoming West End production of Speed-the-Plow.
Schiff, who is probably best known for his role in US TV series The West Wing, will play Bobby Gould, and (Nigel) Lindsay, who has West End credits including Shrek in Shrek the Musical, will appear as Charlie Fox.
Lindsay Lohan is to make her stage debut in the West End production of David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow, at the Playhouse Theatre, following on from 1984. Previews begin on 24th September, with opening night on 2nd October. The production will be directed by Lindsay Posner.
Produced by Danny Moar and Simon Friend for Theatre Royal Bath Productions, Speed-the-Plow (1988) is a play by David Mamet which is a satirical dissection of the American movie business, a theme Mamet would revisit in his later films Wag the Dog (1997) and State and Main (2000).
