The Nutcracker at the Theatre Royal Windsor | Review

The Vienna Festival Ballet Company – Nutcracker

I have been fortunate enough to have seen the classic Christmas ballet The Nutcracker on numerous occasions but the performance I just witnessed from The Vienna Festival Ballet Company has absolutely blown me away.

Whether you are a fan of the ballet, or you are curious as to whether or not it’s for you I would certainly recommend the VFB Company’s latest adaption of this family favourite.

The re-staging by renowned choreographer Emily Hufton gave what I always saw as the perfect Christmas show such an amazing face lift.

Children (To be honest we are all children at heart) love a show that is a visual treat. The excellent choreography matched with the most stunning costumes makes this revamp breathtakingly visual.

I feel whatever I say about this production, I will not be able to do it justice. Full marks to this perfect family show. If you’re looking to treat yourself and your love ones, look no further.

Be swept away on a magical adventure in one of the most famous classical ballets of all time – The Nutcracker. With its combination of enchanting choreography and unforgettable music, this fabulous ballet is a treat like no other.

Set to Tchaikovsky’s sumptuous score, the traditional tale of The Nutcracker tells the story of Clara and her enchanted nutcracker doll. Their adventures see Clara and the Nutcracker combat the Mouse King and join the Sugar Plum Fairy on a wonderful journey through the glistening Land of Snow to a kingdom made entirely of sweets.

Returning by popular demand, Vienna Festival Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker promises to delight audiences of all ages with its festive setting and light-hearted story.
