Laura Wade’s seminal play is the first instalment in our #StudioRep season. It’s debut in 2005 won her the Most Promising Playwright award from the Critics’ Circle Theatre Awards. ‘I hope you have a nice time. I don’t believe in God, really, which is a shame in this type of situation, but –’ Amy is a chambermaid who has the peculiar luck of regularly finding the recently deceased…and today is no exception. Egged on by Ray, Jim agrees to investigate an increasingly oppressive smell coming from a storage locker. Previously separate lives converge in this cleverly constructed drama…and are shattered to their core. The New Actors Company is proud to produce their first season of plays, performed in Rep by a company of six versatile actors, in Studio at New Wimbledon Theatre. This production will be the first professional London revival since its premiere at the Royal Court Theatre in 2005.
