Ed Gamble is an English comedian, known for co-presenting The Peacock and Gamble Podcast and his regular appearances on Mock the Week. He was born on March 11, 1986 in Hammersmith, London. He studied at Durham University, where he began his comedy career performing with the Durham Revue, and was a finalist in the 2007 Chortle Student Comedy Awards.
Gamble has been a regular panellist on the BBC panel show Mock the Week since July 2015. In the same year, he appeared with Amy Hoggart in Almost Royal, a faux-reality show on BBC America, where the two portrayed siblings Georgie and Poppy Carlton. The show was shown on E4 in the UK and was followed by a second series in 2016. He guest-hosted the Elis James and John Robins Show on Radio X in 2017 and 2018.
Gamble is also the co-host of the Peacock and Gamble Podcast with his comedy partner James Acaster. The podcast has been running since 2016 and has been praised for its humor and insights into the comedy industry.
In addition to his TV and radio work, Gamble has also toured extensively with his stand-up comedy shows. He has released two comedy specials, “Ed Gamble: Reasonable Doubt” (2017) and “Ed Gamble: The Book of Gamble” (2020).
