FURTHER CASTING ANNOUNCED FOR WILL TUCKETT’S NUTCRACKER, THE WORLD’S FIRST IMMERSIVE BALLET. The world premiere will now take place at The Printworks London in Canada Water.
Further casting has been announced for Will Tuckett’s Nutcracker, the world’s first immersive ballet, which will receive its premiere on 30th November at The Printworks London in Canada Water.
Joining the previously announced Adam Cooper (Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake) in the role of Uncle Drosselmeyer, will be rising star Ana Enriquez (Birmingham Royal Ballet) as Clara and Ludovic Ondiviela as the Nutcracker Prince. This will represent Ondiviela’s first performance on the stage since he left The Royal Ballet, having been lured away from his recent success in the world of choreography to take up a role in Tuckett’s production.
The principal cast also includes recent English National Ballet soloist Max Westwell, Daniela Norman (Swan Lake) and Paris Fitzpatrick, finalist in the ballet category in the BBC Young Dancer 2015 competition, who will cover the roles of Uncle Drosselmeyer, Clara and the Nutcracker Prince respectively.

Widely anticipated, Will Tuckett’s Nutcracker will see the worlds of classical ballet and immersive theatre fuse for the first time, allowing audiences to explore Tchaikovksy’s Christmas classic in a 360-degree immersive environment and interact directly with the story and the characters.
Described by Tuckett as “a completely fresh approach to classical ballet“, the production will feature more than 40 world-class performers, classical dancers and musicians, with the acclaimed Chroma Ensemble (Wind in the Willows) playing in each performance.
The production will now open at The Printworks London in Canada Water, rather than at Wembley as previously billed.
Producer Bob Watts said: “I am delighted to be returning to The Printworks London; I had a brilliant experience putting on Secret Cinema: Star Wars there last year. It is fast-gaining a reputation as a unique and adaptable creative venue – having recently hosted Mulberry’s London Fashion Week show too – and it will make a brilliant home for Will Tuckett’s Nutcracker. Those who have already bought tickets for the production will be contacted over the coming days regarding the change in venue”.
Will Tuckett’s Nutcracker will run at The Printworks London (Surrey Quays Road, London, SE16 7ND) from 30th November 2016 until 8th January 2017.
