Gemma Arterton and cast in rehearsals for Saint Joan

Saint Joan, starring Gemma Arterton, begins previews at Donmar Warehouse on 9th December 2016, and will be broadcast live to cinemas around the world via NT Live on Thursday 16th February 2017. A selection of rehearsal images have now been made available.

Artistic Director Josie Rourke will revive Bernard Shaw’s seminal play Saint Joan. Gemma Arterton will play Shaw’s central character. Other casting includes Matt Bardock as Robert De Baudricourt and D’Estivet, Richard Cant as De Stogumber, Hadley Fraser as Dunois and Elliot Levey as Cauchon.

Joan: daughter, farm girl, visionary, patriot, king-whisperer, soldier, leader, victor, icon, radical, witch, heretic, saint, martyr, woman.
