Get along to see the stars of the future, as Guildford School of Acting final year Musical Theatre students at Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in true Rydell High style to present Grease from February 8th to 15th.
Premiering on Broadway in 1972, Grease continued to triumph throughout the world and was nominated for seven Tony Awards. With its irresistible mix of adolescent angst, vibrant physicality and 1950s pop culture, Grease struck a universal chord with audiences and has maintained its enduring popularity.
With book, music and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, Grease is directed by Michael Vivian and choreographed by Phyllida Crowley Smith.
Of working with the GSA cast, Michael explains: “It’s been my pleasure to share this time with a hugely talented cohort of actors who have embraced this project with energy and verve.”
Be dazzled by electrifying choreography and revel in 1950s nostalgia as your favourite Grease songs are brought to life by this talented company.
It’s time to dust off your leather jackets, pull on your bobby-socks and take a trip to a simpler time as ‘bad boy’ Danny and ‘the girl next door’ Sandy fall in love all over again.
GREASE is on Saturday to Saturday, February 8th to 15th.
