Jamie Muscato will star in the world premiere of Stay Awake, Jake at the VAULT Festival in 2016.

The winning show of the 2014 S&S Award, Tim Gilvin’s one-man musical follows Jake on a late-night drive to reunite with his former girlfriend. An unabridged version was performed at the St James Theatre last year, and more recently, it was given a week’s development at Leicester Curve followed by an industry showcase at the Leicester Square Theatre. Now in 2016, it will premiere as part of the line-up for VAULT Festival in Waterloo, London in a full-length production which is set to run from 3rd-7th February 2016.

The production is directed by Matt Ryan and also has design by Lee Newby, and musical direction by Jan Winstone.

Jamie Muscato, who will play the musical’s solo character, Jake, recently joined the West End production of Bend it Like Beckham at the Phoenix Theatre in the principal role of Joe. He previously appeared in the West End in Rock of Ages (Shaftesbury Theatre), Love Story (Duchess Theatre), Spring Awakening (Lyric Hammersmith, Novello Theatre) and Lift (Trafalgar Studios). His other stage credits include: Sweeney Todd (Welsh National Opera), House of Mirrors and Hearts (Arcola Theatre), Dogfight (Southwark Playhouse), The Light Princess (National Theatre) and Blitz (Theatre Royal Stratford East). He also performed in an International Tour of Les Miserables. His television credits include Cilla and My Parents Are Aliens. His film credits include Les Miserables, The Euphoria of Drowning and Wild Oats.

Stay Awake, Jake will be shown in The Pit from 3rd-7th February 2016 as part of VAULT Festival 2016.
