Mamma Mia! Musical at Novello Theatre

Celebrate the 16th anniversary of Mamma Mia! in London’s West End by going along to see this fun-packed show.

MAMMA MIA! is a fabulous and entertaining musical. Catherine Johnson’s witty and ingenious script entwines the famous ABBA songs around characters from that you can’t help but love. By the end of the show, just about everyone in the audience is on their feet and swaying along to the smash-hit songs. It really is great to see that girl, watch that scene and dig the Dancing Queen.

MAMMA MIA! is a musical from the book written by British playwright Catherine Johnson, based on the songs of ABBA. Timeless songs such as Dancing Queen, I Have a Dream and Take a Chance on Me, are interwoven with a tale of love, laughter and friendship. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover her father’s identity, reunites three men from her mother’s enjoyable past, to the Greek island paradise.

Through the magical story-telling of the songs from ABBA. MAMMA MIA! introduces us to Donna, a forty-something single mum, who together with her two best friends, recall distant memories of carefree days and careless nights whilst her daughter Sophie dreams of tradition, romance and a big white wedding.

MAMMA MIA! transports audiences to a small mythical Greek island as we share two unforgettable days in the lives of our heroines surrounded by dance and music beneath the Grecian sun.

CAST INTERVIEWS:
Dani de Waal: “Sophie Sheridan is a head-strong, adventurous dreamer. If she puts her mind to something, she’ll get it. She is daring and fun, but her impulsiveness can lead to her not always realising how her decisions may affect others, and what the full consequences of her actions will be.”

Kim Ismay: “There is nothing like the experience of the immediacy and thrill of live theatre; people who have enjoyed the film often say they love the show even more.”
