Nigel Fair’s play EBENEEZER AND ME directed by Louise Jameson

EBENEEZER AND MENigel Fair’s new play, Ebeneezer And Me, explores the dangers of the Twitter generation.

Beatie Queensbury is the most hated woman in the Twittersphere, infamous for her controversial views on the world. Alan can’t even work out how to turn on his mobile phone. A match made in heaven or hell?

Nigel Fairs’ new play, EBENEEZER AND ME, starts out as a playful “rom com” but becomes a dark, psychological drama that examines what it means to be lost in a world of social media, where a President-elect chooses to tweet his opinions to the nation and a Facebook post can become a matter of life and death.

Director Louise Jameson (famous for her roles in Doctor Who, EastEnders, Tenko, Doc Martin and Bergerac and now an award-winning director) says of the play, “Nigel Fairs has created a safe space to debate a dangerous issue. A story of our times, EBENEEZER AND ME is intelligent, witty and deeply moving and it is a privilege to be working with this extraordinary cast and rich text.”

EBENEEZER AND ME will be performed at the Space (in the Docklands) from 1st to 5th February. Tickets (£12/£10) available from https://space.org.uk/event/ebeneezer-and-me/
Performance times: 1st-4th February, 7:30pm 5th February, 5pm
The Space is located at 269Westferry Road, E14 3RS
