Norden Farm Centre for the Arts presents One Snowy Night

One Snowy NightNorden Farm Centre for the Arts in Maidenhead presents One Snowy Night this Christmas. Based on the book by Nick Butterworth, in the series about Percy the Park Keeper and his animal friends in the park.

Says Jane Corry, Norden Farm’s Chief Executive and Artistic Director; “We’re thrilled to welcome Percy the Park Keeper and all his furry friends back to Maidenhead. Squirrel, Rabbit, Mole, Fox, Badger and the gang are our favourite animals to have at The Farm. We hope they’re in fine voice for such song classics as ‘You know where you are with a sandwich’ an ode to Percy’s favourite snack!”

Norden Farm have made three Christmas shows for little ones with slot machine. Their last show ‘Kipper’s Snowy Day’ is playing at The Curve in Leicester and Watermans in London this Christmas.

Norden Farm is committed to presenting and producing work for children and young people. Their programme includes a full range of weekly arts clubs and groups, weekend and school holiday activities together with a live and cinema programme. They also provide training through the very popular young leadership programme and qualifications through their delivery of arts awards. Their innovative arts provision includes an annual summer ‘beach’ – this year’s theme was ‘Hawaiian Elvis’ complete with an airstream story den and Jump In! a spring family arts festival all designed around participation.

Percy The Park Keeper first came to life in One Snowy Night in 1989, which The Sunday Times described as, ‘a tremendous and well-deserved success’ and The Independent called, ‘a heart-warming bedtime tale.’ It wasn’t just the reviewers who loved Percy and the world of his park – children, parents and teachers alike fell in love with the kind hearted park keeper. Percy has sold a staggering 4 million copies worldwide and been translated into 16 languages. A Percy book is bought every 15 minutes – not bad for an animal-loving park keeper!

The show will be at Norden Farm between 24 November and 27 December and is suitable for children aged 3+.
