Ovalhouse are delighted to present the UK premiere of Joshua Conkel’s US hit MilkMilkLemonade (pictured): a bittersilly gender-bending comedy – featuring dancing chickens – about growing up a bit weird. Brian Lobel is offering all Sex and The City aficionados an intimate one-to-one performance in bed, while Dirty Market return with another of their signature bricolage productions, based on the life of surrealist painter Leonora Carrington.
Ovalhouse’s FiRST BiTES works-in-development this season are courtesy of Luca Rutherford, Abi Butler, Kitty Withington, Jamie Zubairi and David Sheppeard.
Plus there’s family fun for the October half term with Tom Frankland & Laura Mugridge’s show about The Country Owl and City Squirrel, a special interactive event for Parliament Week in November hosted by digital theatre-makers Coney, and to round up the season Jake Orr and Maddy Costa take over the building with Talking/Making/Taking Part, a festival of theatre and discussion.
