Heather Headley from The Bodyguard Singing I Will Always Love You

September 6, 2012 Last updated: July 5, 2017 1:16 am By Neil Cheesman

The Bodyguard

The Bodyguard have released the very first teaser video of Heather Headley performing ‘I Will Always Love You’ from the musical. Featuring Heather in the studio, the teaser treats viewers to THAT moment in the song and is a must see! But that’s not all! The show has also created a 3 sample track music player featuring ‘I Have Nothing’, ‘So Emotional’ and of course, ‘I Will Always Love You’. The Bodyguard premieres in London’s West End this November starring Heather Headley and Lloyd … [Read more...]

jesus christ superstar

It’s been almost a month since the final of ITV’s Superstar, in which Ben Forster rose above the 11 other contestants on the show to win the coveted role of ‘Jesus’ in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s forthcoming arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. With the musical’s opening night at London’s O2 Arena on 21st September rapidly approaching, rehearsals are well underway, but it was only yesterday that brought the details of ‘what’s a-happening’ with the production’s full cast. News of Tim Minchin, Melanie … [Read more...]

Pop artists take to the West End for Children in Need

Still, there are those special times when watching television is something to be advocated. A recent example would be the on-going … [Read more...]

West End Bares

London has been taken over by the 2012 Olympic Games, which have been taking place in our great city the last two weeks. It was a time for some of the world’s best athletes to shine and oh, how brightly they did shine. We can be especially proud of our very own Team GB, with the likes of Tom Daley, Jessica Ennis and Mo Farrah showing the younger generation what real role models look like and inspiring them to follow in their footsteps, and no doubt the competitors involved in the forthcoming … [Read more...]

Blood Brothers to close after nearly 24 years in the West End

August 6, 2012 Last updated: July 5, 2017 1:16 am By Neil Cheesman

Blood Brothers

Rumours on Twitter are never the best way to hear about a show closing but this seems to be par for the course in recent times. As mentioned over the weekend on the social networking site, the news is officially confirmed today. Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers, London’s third longest-running musical, has posted closing notices after 10,000 performances and nearly 24 years in the West End. The Bill Kenwright production is due to give its final performance at the Phoenix Theatre on 27th … [Read more...]
