
Paterson Joseph (Peep Show, Green Wing) is to star as Ebenezer Scrooge in Matthew Warchus’ big-hearted, smash-hit production of Charles Dickens’ immortal classic A Christmas Carol, joyously adapted for the stage by Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child). The Old Vic’s A Christmas Carol returns on 4 December, with previews from 23 November.
The Old Vic’s A Christmas Carol fills the auditorium to the brim with mince pies, music and merriment. A unique staging immerses the audience in this uplifting story.
Paterson Joseph has had an extensive career in theatre, television and film since he trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). His stage career includes working in fringe and touring venues around the country and he has spent a number of years at the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company. He has been touring his play Sancho – Act of Remembrance since 2016. Television includes: Peep Show, Babylon, You, Me and the Apocalypse, Timeless, Noughts and Crosses (upcoming). Film includes: The Beach, In the Name of the Father.
