The London Musical Theatre Orchestra is delighted to announce the addition of Alex Gaumond to their much anticipated Christmas concert; the hit Broadway musical, A Christmas Carol, with Robert Lindsay taking on the lead role of Scrooge, and Alex Gaumond playing Bob Cratchit.
Gaumond played on the role of Freddy Benson in the hit West End production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels The Musical from November 2014 until the end of the run in March 2015 alongside Robert Lindsay and the duo are delighted to be reunited once more on the West End Stage:

After the sell-out five-star concert production of A Christmas Carol last year, London Musical Theatre Orchestra returns to the West End for two performances only.
The show stars critically acclaimed mmulti-award-winningactor Robert Lindsay (My Family, Oliver!) as Ebenezer Scrooge. He is joined by host of stars including Nicolas Colicos (The Bodyguard), Sophie-Louise Dann (The Girls), Lucie Jones (2017 UK Eurovision entrant), Rebecca Lock (Mary Poppins), Neil McDermott (EastEnders, The Wind in the Willows), Hugh Maynard (Miss Saigon), Gemma Sutton (Gypsy) and Olivier-nominee Michael Xavier (Into The Woods, Sunset Boulevard).
Charles Dickens’ classic gets the full Broadway treatment by the award-winning team of Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast), Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime) and Mike Ockrent (Me and My Girl). With the London Musical Theatre Orchestra in full festive swing, this is the perfect start to the Christmas season.

MRS CRATCHIT: Giovanna Fletcher – Actress, blogger and prominent figure within the Youtube community with over 160,000 subscribers and 12 million views. She appeared in Michael Grandage’s IVANOV (Donmar Warehouse) and trained at Rose Bruford. Previously Giovanna fronted a weekly segment on ITV’s Lorraine called Take 5 and returns this year to host a segment on motherhood. She is a regular contributor for Asda’s monthly ‘Good Living’ magazine, Mother and Baby as well as having a blog on Hello! Magazine. This will be Giovanna’s professional concert debut.

After a decade-long success at New York’s Paramount Theatre in Madison Square Garden, A Christmas Carol comes to the London stage in glorious concert format for the very first time backed by the 32-strong London Musical Theatre Orchestra and performed by a star-studded West End cast.
This spectacular musical adaptation of one of Charles Dickens’ most famous stories gets the full Broadway treatment by the Broadway team of Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid), Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Seussical) and Mike Ockrent (Crazy For You, Me and My Girl). Called by The New York Times “a tonic for adults, and for children a transfixing journey,” A Christmas Carol is the warm-hearted kick-start to the Christmas week for all the family.
In keeping with the long term aim of the LMTO, the fully orchestrated concert aims to not only make orchestral performances accessible to brand new audiences, but also to bring the exciting repertoire of musical theatre to a more classical audience.
