Soho Theatre has revealed new 2015/16 show listings for their winter season, which runs from December 2015 to February 2016.

In the main theatre space of the London venue, Kim Noble returns from 8th Dec 2015 to 9th Jan 2016 with You’re Not Alone, blending performance, comedy and film in a moving and comic journey that follows one man’s attempts at connection, friendship and employment at B&Q. Fresh from his sell-out seasons in Australia, award-winning comedy performer Sam Simmons will also be at the Soho Theatre from 14th Dec 2015 to 9th Jan 2016 with his 5* show Spaghetti for Breakfast, which won ‘Best Show’ at the 2015 Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

There is also plenty of festive fun on hand for adults and kids alike, with Phil Ellis’ brand new family fun show Funz and Gamez Tooz (19th-23rd Dec 2015), and the Christmas short film Anthony (21st Dec 2015) and hour-long Christmas comedy Freeze! (22nd-23rd Dec 2015) from the duo of Tim Key and Tom Basden.

In the New Year, Britain’s best-loved comedian Michael McIntyre will be returning to the Soho Theatre to try out new material (5th, 7th, 12th, 14th Jan 2016), while acclaimed Scottish stand-up comic Daniel Sloss prepares for his solo New York debut with Dark Revoir, (25th-30th Jan 2016), a one-week residency during which he’ll perform assorted material from his last four hit shows. Robert Newman also records his real-time brain activity through a specially constructed MRI-hat during The Brain Show (11th-23rd Jan 2016), and there’s mime comedy from Trygve Wakenshaw in Nautilus (11th-23rd Jan 2016).

There’s a strong comedy flavour at Soho Upstairs this winter season, with highlights including Anne Edmunds and Luke Wright. Award-winning Australian comedian Anne ‘Eddo’ Edmunds makes her London debut with her acclaimed show You Know What I’m Like from 4th to 16th Jan 2016, followed by Luke Wright, who won the Fringe First Award for ‘New Writing’ at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, with What I Learned From Johnny Bevan from 22nd Feb to 12th March 2016. Award-winning newcomer Sophie Hagen also brings her debut show Bubblewrap to the venue fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe (10th Dec 2015-6th Jan 2016), and there’s further comedy entertainment from The Theatre Company’s three-man show Police Cops (18th-19th Dec 2015), Irish comedy trio Foil, Arms and Hog making their Soho Theatre debut with Skiddlywupp (21st-30th Dec 2015), a returning David Baddiel preparing for his new one man show with Work in Progress (7th-9th Jan 2016) and Scottish Comedian of the Year Larry Dean with Out Now (12th-16th Jan 2016).

Also at Soho Upstairs in the New Year is Tim Ralph’s darkly humorous take on Christmas in Rebranding Beelzebub (11th Jan 2016) and a ‘night of transformations’ with The Unorthodox Unprecedented Preacher TUUP and the mistress of Afro-Caribbean storytelling Jan Blake, in Shifter (8th Feb 2016).

The entertainment continues in the Soho Theatre’s downstairs space, which will be hosting the return of Collapsing Horse’s Bears in Space with the original cast: Jack Gleeson, Aaron Heffernan, Cameron McCauley and Eoghan Quinn. Featuring puppetry, comedy and music, the cult hit production runs at Soho Downstairs from 28th Dec 2015 to 2nd Jan 2016.

Also this December is Diane Chorley’s annual Yuletide bash, Ding Dong Merrily Diane, with her band The Buffet (16th-23rd Dec 2015).
