THE NIGHT OF ELECTRIC VOICES

Since 1999 The Night of 1000 Voices has delighted capacity audiences whilst supporting various charities. On Sunday 1 March 2015, stellar performers from London and New York together with the soloists of the City of London Philharmonic and the West End Chorus, will present an electrifying night of musical theatre. In 2015, The Night of Electric Voices will move for the first time to London’s largest theatre, the London Coliseum by Trafalgar Square.
Apart from other international guests who will be announced in January 2015, the stars for this unique evening will include the previously announced Adam Pascal (Broadway’s RENT and Memphis); Kerry Ellis (Wicked and Oliver!), and David Michael Johnson (We Will Rock You in Germany). This spectacular concert will be introduced by one of the fathers of the rock musical, Tim Rice.

Featured will be Jesus Christ Superstar, We Will Rock You, The Rocky Horror Show, Chess, RENT, Hair, Little Shop of Horrors, Tommy, Aida and Memphis. These are just a few of the great shows to be given The Night of Electric Voices treatment, together with a sprinkling of some that may not be quite so well known.
In 2015, The Night of Electric Voices will once again be for the benefit of the Alan Jay Lerner Fund at the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity exists solely to support the Royal Marsden’s pioneering work in cancer research, diagnosis, treatment and care. Its lung unit runs the largest portfolio of clinical trials in the UK and it places a high priority on the development of new drugs and treatments. Clinical trials are expensive to run, but they are the only way the Royal Marsden are able to develop more effective drugs and technologies. The Royal Marsden are delighted that The Night of Electric Voices has again chosen to support the Alan Jay Lerner Fund and the money raised will further the Royal Marsden’s research and ultimately save more lives. They say ‘Your support will help to build a future beyond cancer’.
With musical directors Stuart Morley and Kevin Amos, The Night of Electric Voices will again be devised and directed by Hugh Wooldridge who says “This evening is a must for all who love musicals. Come along again and join in the fun. Come and support this most splendid charity in the name of Alan Jay Lerner whilst raising the roof of the London Coliseum.”
