The Big West End Busk June 2015

Big West End BuskLive and Acoustic presents The West End Big Busk which brings a range of West End performers to Cardinal Place in Victoria, to raise money for the local homeless charity, The Passage. Following the success of raising over £300 in the first event in this series of busks, WEBB is back with the second line up of West End Stars. The event is from 12-2 supporting the Victoria based homeless charity. Each performer will sing a 15-20 minute set with only acoustic instruments as an accompaniment.

Jodie Jacobs (Rock of Ages, State Fair, Evita, Little Shop of Horrors, We Will Rock You, Fame)
Jodie Steele (Jesus Christ Superstar, Fame, Bare)
Luke Baker (Sunny Afternoon, A Beautiful Thing, I Can’t Sing, Bare, Sign of the Times)
Katie Paine (We Will Rock You, Godspell, Scott Alan Live)
Sarah O’Connor (The Commitments, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia!)

The event is presented in partnership with Live and Acoustic which is a gigging platform for the west end community, used to showcase new writing and acoustic covers. Live and Acoustic was founded in 2013 and was previously based at the Karamel Club in Wood Green. It’s new home is at The Union Theatre where the next gig will be on the 7th of June.

Alex James Ellison is an actor and a singer/songwriter currently in the Aliens Love Underpants tour before opening at the Dominion Theatre in August. He has also recently appeared in Apartment 40C and Whistle Down The Wind and has just released his debut single called ‘Chocolate Bar’. He is vey passionate about helping the homeless and this project has been in his head for the past year finally getting its time this Summer!

Coverage of the event is provided by West End Video where the footage will be used to increase awareness of the charity and to gain further donations through social media! West End Video have worked on projects such as WhatsOnStage Awards and Cynthia Erivo’s Debut Solo Concert as well as lots of charity event events including WestEndFests and Giggin’ For Good.
