The Shows Must Go On – Cats 1999 production

The Shows Must Go Online

Having its West End premiere at the New London Theatre (now Gillian Lynne Theatre) in 1981, the original London production won best new musical at the 1981 Olivier Awards and played a continuous run of over 8,000 performances in 21 years.

This week’s stream marks the latest musical as part of the online series, following previous musicals including By Jeeves, Love Never Dies, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, and a concert film of The Phantom of the Opera.

The stream will begin from 7pm on Friday 15th May, and will be available online for 24 hours in the UK (48 hours elsewhere).
