Warehouse of Dreams premiere at Lion & Unicorn Theatre

Warehouse of DreamsThe Lion and Unicorn Theatre Random Thoughts Limited presents ‘Warehouse of Dreams’ a world premiere by Chuck Anderson.

A new play wrenches its premise from today’s tragic headlines: how do you run a city of 125,000 grieving, desperate people that’s growing like a tumour? That’s the job of Moriarty, the protagonist of Warehouse of Dreams, written by Chuck Anderson and directed by Dan Phillips.

Produced by Random Thoughts Limited, the production has its world premiere at the Lion and Unicorn Theatre,
Kentish Town, on 11 November and runs for four weeks. Jamie Thompson takes on the leading role of Moriarty. As he confronts the difficult decisions that aid workers have to make, he relies on wit and charm to tread the faint line between pragmatism and corruption. His nemesis, a rebel leader, is played by Luca Pusceddu. Moriarty arouses the repressed emotions of his boss, a UNHCR regional director played by Emma Vansittart, and the moral doubts of his ingenuous assistant, played by Chris Clynes. The role of a probing TV reporter comes naturally to Chandrika Chevil who is a former broadcasting journalist, and Balqis Duvall, who plays a teenage refugee, can identify with her character’s culture as she was born in the Middle East and has a Syrian father.

Every ticket sold to Warehouse of Dreams includes a £2 donation to support the humanitarian work of War Child.
This small, dynamic charity, also based in Kentish Town, helps children traumatised by war to rebuild their future.
A crowdfunding campaign to increase the salary budget or actors has just concluded successfully, and also raised
additional funds for the charity.
