It opened on the 4th of October 1999 after 25 years of local people’s fight for a new theatre to be built. The 1400-seat auditorium (with a fully retracting ceiling that gives a more intimate viewing experience) makes every visit special. And let’s not forget the shows themselves. The theatre has a diverse and rich repertoire of first-class dance, drama, musicals, opera, comedy, and children’s shows, which are suitable for all ages.
