Battersea Arts CentreSnow White & Rose Red by RashDash
29 November – 30 December
For everyone aged 5+
Acclaimed company RashDash present a riotous alternative Christmas offering. Adapted from the Brothers Grimm fairy-tale, this punchy music-filled show follows as a pair of mischievous sisters as they journey ever-deeper into an enchanted and wintry wood on a quest for justice, love and friendship. Part of Battersea Arts Centre’s Reclaiming The Classics strand. Commissioned and co-produced by Cambridge Junction.

Sponge by Turned on its Head
28 November – 30 December
For ages 4 months – 4 years and their grown-ups
A pair of dancers invite babies and young children to roll, squeeze and pop themselves through a new malleable kind of show, set to an original 1970s disco soundtrack. Small and large-scale squishy, squashy environments, fascinating in shape, texture and touch are revealed, and there’s also the leggy character Splegs, who needs a bit of help walking.

Adam Riches: The Beakington Town Hall Meetings
Adam Riches | 4 – 9 December
Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Adam Riches premieres an hour of festive character creations at Battersea Arts Centre this Christmas with a “dramatic” reconstruction of events surrounding one of Britain’s most infamously calamitous civic gatherings.

A Very John Kearns Christmas
John Kearns | 11 – 16 December
Following successive Edinburgh Comedy Award wins, John Kearns returns to Battersea Arts Centre’s Christmas comedy programme with a new show about home, memory and ritual. Donning his trusty fake teeth and wig, John pores over archive recordings from Kearns family Christmases past.

Sleeping Trees and the Chocolate Factory: Christmas Special
Sleeping Trees | 18 – 23 December
Physical comedy trio Sleeping Trees (“The love child of Monty Python and the League of Gentlemen.” Time Out) give Willy Wonka, the Umpa Lumpas and various fatigued grandparents from Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory a seasonal revamp for one week only.
