Fashion Victim – The Musical! with songs by Right Said Fred

Aaron Blake in Fashion Victim - The Musical!Fashion model and actor Arron Blake is to star in  Fashion Victim – The Musical! featuring songs by Right Said Fred.

Fashion Victim – The Musical! is a thoroughly modern morality tale of style-crossed lovers set in the cutthroat world of la mode.

Launched in 2013 as a pilot pop-up theatre event to coincide with London Fashion Week, Fashion Victim – The Musical!, by Toby Rose, with songs by Right Said Fred, will now get a two-week run, staged in a specially created catwalk arena inside The Cinema Museum in Elephant and Castle, south London, from Saturday 21 June – Sunday 6 July.

Fashion Victim – The Musical! is a must-see for all front row fashionistas in the making… and audiences are actively encouraged to boo, hiss or cheer – as they see fit – the chutzpah of Mimi Steele in a story of laughs, love and sharp practices in the cutting edge world of fashion.

Fashion model and actor Arron Blake is confirmed to play the pivotal role of Tarquin Brockhutch, from the hit TV show The Only Way Is Trust Fund. More cast will be announced.

Model and actress Camilla Rutherford is also confirmed as the first of a series of celebrities making fabulous cameo apearances in the show.

Written by Toby Rose, creator of Discotivity, which premiered at the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe, starring Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus. Rose is also the brains behind the annual Palm Dog Awards at Cannes Film Festival.

The director is Robert McWhir, Artistic Director of the Landor Theatre, whose recent acclaimed shows include I Love You Because, Curtains and Ragtime. Celebrity choreographer Ryan Jenkins from BBC1’s So You Think You Can Dance, can’t wait to sink his teeth into some more mean dance moves. Songwriter Cayelan Mendoza is from Stomp; Musical Director Michael Webborn, ENO, Glyndebourne, Donmar Warehouse; Lloyd Weber costume supremo Deborah Andrew is all systems a go go; and Lighting Designer Richard Lambert will make everyone look fabulous!
