Last year a collective of independent comedy types took over an ancient and empty City institution to create London’s most exciting Christmas Pop-Up – affectionately known as The HoHo Theatre (Critic’s Choice – Time Out).
This year they’re back in the same glorious creative space and with an even bigger and better line up that includes some of the biggest and hottest award-winning names in comedy.
Among those confirmed so far:
Stewart Lee ~ Josie Long ~ Harry Hill
Richard Herring ~ Boothby Graffoe
Jon Richardson ~ Lloyd Langford ~ Dan Atkinson
Weirdos Alternative Panto ~ Robert Newman
Henning Wehn ~ Isy Suttie ~ Arthur Smith
Tony Law ~ Nick Helm ~ Spencer Jones ~ John Kearns
Bearpit ~ Comedians Cinema Club ~ This is Your Trial & Tim Fitzhigham
Alternative Comedy Memorial Society ~ Rachel Parris ~ Bec Hill
Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer ~ Topping & Butch
And your host Bob Slayer (aka Santageddon)
Curator, comedian and comedy bus driver Bob Slayer (aka Santageddon for the duration of the Grotto) said:
“This is proper comedy! No evil bankers or Christmas parties allowed – so it makes perfect sense to locate it right in the heart of world’s most important banking and financial centre. We like a challenge! We like to subvert! We love pies!”
