In a landmark announcement for the British stage, producers Jeffrey Seller and Cameron Mackintosh have confirmed that Broadway’s original ‘Aaron Burr’, Leslie Odom, Jr., will join the London production of Hamilton for a strictly limited nine-week engagement this summer.

The Tony and Grammy Award-winner is set to reprise his career-defining role at the Victoria Palace Theatre from 3 July – 5 September 2026. This marks Odom’s first-ever appearance on the West End, following a highly successful 12-week return to the role on Broadway last autumn.
A “Profoundly Healing” Return
Reflecting on his return to the character that earned him the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical, Odom stated: “Returning to Hamilton and revisiting the role of Aaron Burr with the growth and perspective of time has been a profoundly healing artistic experience. I am having so much fun!”
Producer Cameron Mackintosh recalled being “knocked out” by Odom’s “electric performance” during the show’s original New York try-outs over a decade ago. He expressed his delight that London audiences will finally have the opportunity to witness the original Burr in person.
