LONDON CELEBRATES TWO ICONIC LEGENDS IN ONE WEEK

Linder Productions are bringing their two critically acclaimed international touring productions to London this Spring. They will be celebrating the lives and music of the legendary performer JUDY GARLAND and the iconic French chanteuse EDITH PIAF.

Not typical tribute shows, these stunning productions contain “beautifully crafted narration” and are a perfect blend of wonderful stories, fascinating facts, charming humour, some truly moving moments and passionately performed Garland and Piaf classics.

The shows take the audience through the back stories of two of the most successful female performers of all time.” says producer Vicki Linder. “Piaf rose from the backstreets of Paris to become the most highly paid female singer in the world and Garland was described by Fred Astaire as being the greatest entertainer who ever lived”.

Both shows have very similar structures and are sensitively and painstakingly written to really give an insight into the personalities of the two legends as well as their music” she added. “And they are specifically not impersonations – both of these icons were truly one-offs – they are more about inspiration than imitation”.

Award-winning musical theatre actress/entertainer Sally Jones (www.sally-jones.com) stars in both productions and, as well as performing many of the legends’ respective classics “with powerful emotion and commitment”, she delivers the informative and highly entertaining narration “with passion and sincerity”. Having received rave reviews in Canada, the shows are now coming to London as part of a UK national tour. The Garland show (GET HAPPY – THE JUDY GARLAND STORY) will be at Jermyn Street Theatre for one night only on Sunday 26th April and the Piaf show (NO REGRETS – THE LIFE STORY & SONGS OF EDITH PIAF) will be for 2 nights at Leicester Square Theatre on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd May.
