Louise Dearman with Songs In The Key of Streisand

Louise Dearman Songs In The Key of StreisandWest End star Louise Dearman is to work with with London-based KiwiFruits Productions to headline in an exclusive one-night-only tribute concert dedicated to Barbra Streisand.

Louise Dearman, known primarily for her starring roles as both good witch Glinda (2010-2011) and the emerald-skinned Elphaba (2012-2013) in the West End production of Wicked, the title role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita, as well as leading the cast in the upcoming new musical The Water Babies, is a long-time Streisand admirer and credits the superstar for influencing her throughout her West End and International career:

Louise Dearman said: ‘Barbra Streisand has had such a huge influence on me and my career. Her voice is so wonderfully unique, she has the ability to move me to tears one moment and break into a huge smile the next through her music and her interpretation of songs. Alongside this she is a divine actress and all round superstar, Streisand is my perfect idol

In an interview with us in 2012 Louise Dearman referred to Barbra Streisand and the inspiration she was to Louise, saying: “I look at artists like Barbara Streisand, and Annie Lennox, who I love, and I want to achieve all they have achieved, that’s what I’m striving for.”

Featuring a night of classic Streisand songs and intimate stories spanning her Five Decade career, ‘Songs In The Key Of Streisand’ promises to be a memorable evening of entertainment.
