Rubberbandits: Ruder Than Shakespeare! at Sam Wanamaker Playhouse

Rubber BanditsThe Award-Winning plastic bag-wearing musical comedy duo, to electrify the candlelit Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.

Direct from Limerick! RUBBERBANDITS, the plastic-bag wearing musical comedy duo – the Chortle Award winners responsible for YouTube sensation ‘Horse Outside’ – will perform two gigs in the intimate, candle lit surroundings of the newly opened Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare’s Globe on 30th and 31st March 2014. The Rubberbandits’ appearance will be the first ever comedy show in the space, adding to the eclectic mix of shows the Playhouse’s opening season has to offer.

Dominic Dromgoole, Artistic Director of Shakespeare’s Globe, said, “I have been a wild fan of the Rubberbandits since I fell in love with their Youtube output.  I can’t wait to see their wit and anarchy at play in our Jacobean playhouse.”

RUBBERBANDITS have just enjoyed a third critically acclaimed sell-out season at Soho Theatre with their high-energy, marvellously silly brand new show, Continental Fistfight.
