RADIANT VERMIN returns in 2016 playing UK – Bristol and London

Radiant Vermin poster Soho TheatreFollowing its sell-out, award-nominated, nationally acclaimed premiere last year, Philip Ridley’s RADIANT VERMIN returns in 2016 with its original lead casting and creative team, playing UK dates in Bristol and London ahead of an Off Broadway New York transfer.

Ollie and Jill want to tell you about their dream home. Some of the things they did to get it, you might find… shocking. But they want you to know they did it all for their baby…

A wickedly comic satire about a young couple offered a way out of the housing crisis – and just how far they’re prepared to go to achieve it – RADIANT VERMIN won rave reviews for its 2015 premiere in Bristol and London. The original production is now set to return in 2016 playing 12-14 May at Bristol’s Tobacco Factory Theatres before a two-week run from 17-28 May at London’s Soho Theatre and transferring from 2 June – 3 July to New York’s 59E59 Theaters as part of the 2016 Brits Off Broadway Season.

Playful, provocative and viciously sharp, RADIANT VERMIN is the showstopping first comedy from Time Out, Evening Standard, Critics’ Circle and Fringe First Award-winner Philip Ridley. The show is directed by Evening Standard Award-nominee David Mercatali and designed by William Reynolds – reuniting the team behind multi-award-winning sell-outs Tender Napalm, Dark Vanilla Jungle and Tonight With Donny Stixx.

The show’s original leads Sean Michael Verey and Gemma Whelan will return to the roles for which they both earned OffWestEnd Award nominations. Independently, Verey is known as the lead in hit BBC Three sitcom Pramface and won a Stage Acting Award for Ridley’s monologue Tonight with Donny Stixx; while Whelan is a regular in HBO’s global TV hit Game of Thrones and was nominated for the Stage Acting Award for Ridley’s Dark Vanilla Jungle. Completing the cast will be Debra Baker (BBC Radio Drama Company, Ridley’s Vincent River and Mercury Fur).
