HQ Theatres take over the management of the Churchill Theatre

Churchill Theatre Bromley LondonThis week the Churchill Theatre in Bromley begins a new and exciting chapter in its 39 year history, as the South London venue joins the HQ Theatres & Hospitality group of leading regional theatres.

HQ Theatres, under the stewardship of a local Theatre Director and management team, will breathe a new lease of life into the Churchill Theatre, programming a popular array of top-quality musicals, drama, comedy, dance, family shows, one night events, and world-class pantomime produced by HQ Theatres & Hospitality’s sister company, Qdos Entertainment.

Chris Glover, Theatre Director says, “This is a hugely exciting time for the Churchill Theatre, its audiences and the local community. As well as revitalising the front of house areas to enhance the customer experience we plan to restore the Churchill Theatre’s past reputation as the starting point for UK tours, enabling local audiences to see productions first. Strengthened relationships with local community and amateur groups will ensure that The Churchill remains the focal point of arts development in the Bromley area and beyond.”

Over the next year HQT&H will introduce an exciting range of food and drink offerings aimed at enhancing the customer experience. Churchill Theatre customers should expect pre-show dining, an extensive range of ‘light bite’ options, a selection of contemporary wines along with leading brand beers and craft ales and a range of quality teas and coffees. The Theatre’s programme will also see a new programme of unmissable, value-for-money entertainment-based dining events.

Julian Russell, Chief Executive of HQ Theatres & Hospitality adds, “HQT&H has a proven track record of successfully managing and operating theatres and other cultural venues, delivering first-class hospitality and customer service alongside unmissable live entertainment. We are delighted to welcome the Churchill Theatre to the HQT&H family. The future is very bright for this fantastic venue and we look forward to welcoming both existing and new audiences through the doors.
