‘Magic ABBA in association with MAMMA MIA!’ is set to hit the airwaves at midday on Thursday 5th May. The pop-up digital radio station will celebrate the music of the Swedish pop legends 24 hours a day for 6 weeks and is brought to you by Magic Radio and MAMMA MIA!, the West End show inspired by the songs of ABBA.

This is the place to get your ABBA fix! You’ll hear the likes of Dancing Queen, Super Trouper, Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!, The Winner Takes it All, Take a Chance on Me, S.O.S and so many more of the bands classics’ that you know and love, while being treated to exclusive interviews as the station goes behind the scenes and talks to former MAMMA MIA! cast members alongside new cast members, following their journey as they join the smash hit musical in the West End in June. The station will catch up with the people behind the show and learn how Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus’ timeless songs inspired MAMMA MIA!.

Listeners will have plenty of opportunities to win amazing prizes and MAMMA MIA! experiences along the way too before we see the debut of ‘Magic of the Musicals’, a new event bringing together the best from London’s West End, including MAMMA MIA!, to the Royal Albert Hall on Monday 23rd May. Then in August listeners will vote for their favourite ABBA tracks and the greatest songs from MAMMA MIA!.

Creator/Producer of MAMMA MIA! Judy Craymer said “It’s incredibly exciting to be working with Magic on this unique pop-up digital radio station featuring the music of ABBA and MAMMA MIA!  The songs of ABBA have always been irresistible and this is a fantastic celebration for both ABBA and MAMMA MIA! as the musical enters its 18th year in London’s West End.”

The station will be live on air from midday on 5th May 2016, available on DAB digital radio in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Teesside, Tyne & Wear, Humberside, Leeds, Edinburgh, Northern Ireland, Tayside, Inverness and across the UK.

In order to listen on DAB Digital Radio, listeners will need to re-tune their radios. For more information on how to do this, head towww.getdigitalradio.com/retune.

MAMMA MIA! is in its 18th year in London’s West End at the Novello Theatre and is currently on its first ever UK Tour receiving great critical and public acclaim.
